I somehow missed your later updates to the bike/thread. Therefore as I got caught up on your work you earned quite a few likes from me. The bike looks awesome. Love those type rear reflectors. I have one that the reflector lens is broken in pieces but the housing is all good. Been considering LED's for the holes the reflectors lens bullets protrude from and therefore make a light out of it if there is enough internally to wire the LED's up. Then run the power leads through the fender up the underside to a ornate container hiding the power source and switch.

Bought a Brooks B72 from 'Unchained', thinking I would put it on my Build-Off 10 bike as an upgrade to the Electra unit on it.
Well, after 5 Proofide treatments, I went to install it and......meh.
Then I looked at the faux-patina'd unit on the Toadmaster. DING!
After all, this is my primary rider, it should have the best saddle I own on it. As a bonus, it has REAL patina.
In the end, it made a good feeling ride, feel even better.
Ready for Smoopy's ride!

Sweet upgrade!
Looks perfect on that bike.

Well, the nose of old Brooks B72 tore off a few months back, so I replaced it with another one from my stash, but while I love those saddles it just wasn’t ‘right’ for this bike.

Now that this is my ‘ride it now and again’ bike. I didn’t need that good a saddle on it either.

So, I worked a trade with @Captain Awesome on Friday and traded for this 60s-ish Mesinger unit. I thinks it looks better than the more narrow Brooks units. Plus, I took it on a 3 mile shake down ride (after greasing up the hubs/headset/crankset/chain) and it really quite comfortable, looks like it’s a winner !
All ready for a cruise around Savannah with @kingfish254 tomorrow.

Cheers all!

Just the perfect amount of patina on it too!

That saddle looks great on there. Looking forward to riding tomorrow.
Green light is a go too!
@Captain Awesome , you need to come down for a ride sometime.

maybe don't use a third party photo source so we can actually see the bike...those photo bucket strips are pretty distracting on an otherwise nice picture of a killer bike.

Funny, they show for me. I abandoned Photobucket years ago. My image pics are straight to the forum now
