Im quickly realizing how nice a jig probably is. I must have tacked that bb 3 times before i was happy.

I did mine twice yesterday, gonna hope third time's the charm next time I get in the garage.

Now I'm in your corner. I'm changing my build up, cuz I don't want to have to "learn" to ride it. Not comfy not cool.

Sketchy! Haha, yeah that's how my little test run felt yesterday... There's a way to be cool and comfy. It's just takes some of us a little trial and error before we get there. I keep trying to build something I've never seen, so failures are just a way to get to the final vision. Good luck on your build can't wait to see the frame welded up.

When is the OBC? Some year, if it occurs while I'm in Phoenix, I'd love to drive over for it!

:39: Did you cut that bar down yet? Looks to me you got about enough room to mount a sink on there. [emoji106]

I think im going to do something different with the bars that follows the frame lines a bit more

being lame at progress pics well here we are. Got the lower tube welded in and the seat post tube. Pretty happy with the straightness considering the point and stab tack and yell at it approach.

just some parts pics. Yes its gonna be skip. Thats gonna be an expensive chain. The recromed sprocket i scored from a fellow club member. The seat is actually my vp's probably wont use it since he does not want to give it up lol

she needed a headlight. This may or not change but i had this 40's cadillac light sitting around and the mount happens to perfectly replace the bolt in the springer so win win.

now onto serious biz. These chain stays were scaring me far as getting the cope right which was off angle then some how managing to weld them on somewhat straight. I came up with this "jig" to keep them still while i tack the tube and it worked pretty well.

almost forgot i kinda sorta set myself on fire while cutting out a plate. Saw some smoke then poof big fire. No harm done other than the death of my beloved shirt.
