I love this thread  Exploded parts diagrams are one of my favorites. I did run across a bmx site a while back that had some "parts tree" art work of a BMX bike, like it came out of a model car kit. Wish I could find it again ...

Here is an exploded view of a New Departure hub from my CAD collection:

I want to make something like that out of a 12" kid's frame to hang on the wall, but I'd rather make bikes than art when it comes to my time. :(

I agree, but if I found it at a yard sale for cheap I would take something like that home

I wanna do that for a local bike show. Instead of building a bike for it, do an un-build.

I had a really cool 12" boys bike, the top tube was not flat, but more like a camel bend to it. I was going to use my cut off wheel to slice the frame down the center so it could be flat mounted to a board, but then it got in my way and I threw it away.

Here is a bike that I am doing. I picked it up from the BBP (coop) to fixup for them and let them sell at the vintage bike swap. They provided the tires and parts with all the proceeds going to their building expansion.

Beatcad, this was done years ago. My renderings are quite nice now. It took some sit down time with my commercial photographer to teach me proper lighting techniques.
