Back in the 70s mom use to buy us the Topps Odd Rods bubble gum packs . We used to stick the cards on our school lockers,steel desk and head boards .

A nice history of Ed Roth. He sure was a creative gear head and lived in the center of car culture...
I remember "Car Toons" comic books and all those cool model car kits. It used to get my dad's goat, spending all my money on model kits. He used to say, " If you saved that money you could have a real car."

I think he was some inspiration for the cartoon Motorcity, and the main characters car, Mutt had a Ed Roth style decal or logo on it.
