I just got this bike Thursday Night serial number is A132826 which on Columbia serial number search is 1936 or 1955 which is more likely? as my bike is to the T the same as the one in the Ebay post (mine has no headlight)

In the Ebay section there is a post of this bike in better condition. 40s Columbia Fleetwing

I'd say 1955. It's not a skiptooth, which an earlier one almost certainly would be.

The crank sprocket is consistent with a '59 Columbia I had (which got shipped out to Burning Man!).

The Ebay bike has that '50s style rocket headlight. It would be really unusual, though not impossible, for the rubber and plastic parts to hold up this long.

Still 55 years is an awful long time too.

Last clue to age, a friend has a 1959 Murray (CWC) Fleetwing middleweight, and I have worked on it a bit. Very different from your Columbia built bike, but whatever store was selling these clearly was active with them in the '50s.

Best of luck with it.
