From the ‘66 Hercules. The BSA didn’t have the cool chain ring though.
She's a super-clean beauty. Please don't try shifting while pedaling.
That crankset is suspiciously close to the cranks used in most of the ZZR/Romet bicycles...
the dramatic photo....
First ride today and I really like this thing, The wheels run smooth, and the hub shifts and brahes as it should. The saddle will need to break in for me so that will get a quick oil treatment to soften up. The one issue is that I need to change out the crankset as the non-drive side pedal pulled out after about 6 miles. I remember it not threading in smoothly but there wasn't any indication that it was going fail. It wasn't a ruined fit like if it had been cross threaded...just maybe a previous mishap with the reverse thread at some point? Either way, I have a replacement in my spares bin so no worries.
Dig the photo and the bike!
^ I second that emotion!
Sweet and classy build!
If Kingfish likes it, that's almost the same thing as winning, right?
Anything that reminds him of beer, he likes. So, you've got that going for you, which is nice.
