I was thinking I'd do two builds in the upcoming build off, since I have two builds I need to do, but just noticed it's one build only this go round...
No Problemo!
I'll do one here, and since this is sort of a re-do of an already existing creation, it's probably better anyway.
Plus I'm hoping to have this on the road by may 25, I won't mind a few extra days to get started

Going to take my Cycle truck BBQ trailer and turn it into a Doniselli inspired cargo bike.

I've got this houspainted Elgin to cut. Along with the sheet metal from my BO11 build.

Or I have this CWC triangle that's already chopped...

Probably go with the Elgin.
Got no reason not to, and I think the curved tube will be fab.

Me and my buddy call our food bike project Asado Mechanico by the way. Good name for the build..

Looks like a good start on a stretch, just make sure you put in enough support. Don't want any tacoing.

Oh yeah, it's getting stitched up for sure :)

Posting over here in the ghost town...but I do want to record this Build and at this point it's higher priority than my BO12 bike.

Updates...

One thing I'm super crazy about on this Elgin frame is the awesome way they sculpted the stays back at the wish bone.
Really great design and I'm duplicating them to the best of my abilities on a couple joints.

I was thinking I'd just do old paint and bare metal on this bike, since it's all getting tied into a rusty contraption. But I have a piece of tubing with the original paint color and I'm hoping to get a match and paint her up.
One of my favorite things from the WBO was TjWilsons work with the Bondo...
This bike really doesn't seem
Call for that level of finish, but I'm tempted to give it a try...:)

Man, this thing is moving right along...got my trusses braced up, the pivot built and installed and took a little weight off of the front.
Just need to add a couple more braces underneath, get a crank and chain installed and take it for a spin!
ASboltnut is sending me a cool 6" skiptooth chainring, but I might need to rob one temporarily off of the cycle truck...;)

Thanks Luke.
I'll be over at the Big Build Off soon enough...my build off bike will be a companion to this one.
I have to focus on work bikes for awhile, need these things to start earning their keep....;)

A few pics of the foot break in progress.
Still looking for something cool to use for a pedal..

I'm leaning now towards leaving the old paint and rusting the bare.
I had some old wrought iron that was painted the exact same baby blue as the Elgin... wondering if it came from the same house ??

I wonder if you can find a small version of the vintage foot shaped gas pedal?

I've been thinking about Falstaffs foot pedal...not quite the bike for the toes, but I realized that a simple piece of diamond plate will be just the thing for now.

I have a plan for the brake pad where it hits the tire, but I need to wait until I get my crank and chain mounted. Need to get the distance between just right.
