A try with a motor

Ok since there probably won't be a lot of pedaling going
on , I decided to go with the big Worksman seat. Won't
be a fashion statement , but its really comfy on your rear.
The front tire is out of round or something. I tried reseating
it several times and it still has a hump in it. Going to change
for another I have and hopefully solve the problem. Rode it
around the neighborhood several times and it rides nice other
than the wonky front tire. Its pretty much done and ready for
its new owner.

It said not to run it past half throttle, but
it will take off without pedaling, so it has
enough power. I guess when he breaks it in
then he can find out the top speed.
I will probably ride it tomorrow and see if the
big seat is worth it. I have one on another bike
and it is really comfy. Watch the riding video a
couple posts back to see it in action.

Thanks Luke. The carb on this motor is terrible. I cleaned it
three times and it still won't idle. I tried a carb off one of my
small scooters and it was too big. Had to run it with the choke
on all the time. I will get it figured out. Fun to play with anyway.

The carbs these kits come with tend to need rebuilt before use.
Its normally the float not being properly set.

Oh OK.
That's cool that the carb from the kit is good to go.

I'm sure the other needs a rebuild if it's been setting that long.

Well Steve's father, and his wife both rode the bike. It did
good. Chain seems to stretch pretty quick.
I did order the new carb for the Tecumseh. Should be here
in a few days. Then the decision on another build should be a little
easier to make. Maybe a pusher or maybe just another regular
build kinda like this one.

I ordered another carb from Amazon for the Tecumseh and it was
crap too. Guess china replacement carbs are not that good. Keep
surging and wouldn't idle. I had a carb off of a small scooter. I cleaned
it up and put it on. Worked perfect, plus it gives you a cable that will
hookup to a scooter throttle. So now I have a workable motor and need
to figure out what I will put it on. Click the picture and watch 3 1/2 screaming
horsepower.

Its funny you either like a Tecumseh , or hate them. Since this
is the first one I have had, I'm not sure where I stand. It wouldn't
be my first choice for a motor. For $20 bucks and it was clean. I couldn't
resist. It might do good then again it might blow up.
While I'm planning what to attack next, I will probably work on the
beautifying it. I will eventually stick it on a bike somehow.
