I saw this bike in person at Shiny Side Up, and talked to the builder Oscar for a while. I've seen many builds that incorporated Schwinn Exerciser parts before, but never to this level. He told me that the hardest part was finding the right Coppertone frame, and from there he adapted the parts to it. He used ALL the parts. Seat clamp, seat, stem, bars, grips, the whole drive set up, and even the chain guard. I told him the only thing I would change was that I thought it deserved a Schwinn style springer, possibly also using parts from the exercise bike. We Hooligans were prepared to give this bike our club pick, but it ended up in the winner circle for 2nd place best vintage, so we gave it to another bike to spread the wealth.

Oscar did an amazing job on this bike.

Very cool ride, I hope you told him about RRB and persuaded him to join!

That layback seat post looks sweet! Does it have a support that attaches to the frame or am I seeing things?

It also caught my attention at the SSU-2014. The seat is what appeared to be a custom made bracket that attached to the post and frame for support. One of my Favs that day!
Would he make and sell those seat brackets? I'd definitely want a few!
