A friend emailed me this week and asked if I was interested in a bike he picked up. We met up this evening to do a little horse tradin'. :D

He had picked this bike up at a swap meet this past weekend and he isn't into the Mongoose stuff so I traded him for a bike I had for it.

Not totally sure what my plans are for it, but it will get a cleaning first. Not diggin' the stem so that will be swapped out with a Pro Class stem eventually.

I think it is a Hutch stem, but I know squat about them...other than the fact that I don't like them.

I didn't know there was 24'' Mongoose bikes? Wasn't Mongoose bikes all 20'' :?:

If you part with it,what would want for that Hutch Stem?

I would be shocked if DoubleNickle has not pmed you about the stem yet. Great pick up. What makes this different the the TwoFour?

Re: 84 PRO CLASS 24" BMX CRUISER

Sweetness. Man the BMX gods are loving you lately. I am feeling more and more BMX . Even trying to build a little pump-track in my yard. There is a 87 or 88 Mongoose Stylist for sale near me I am being tortured by. It was only made for 2 years or less, but there is so little info out there on them I am not sure if it is worth the $300 asking price? But it is missing the original mags, and has at a minimum, a swapped seatpost.

I am more interested in the quality of it rather than the scarcity. I actually want to ride the thing! But for $300 we are getting near Skyway Streatbeat territory on a good day.

Cha ching! :)

Since most of the original parts are gone, that would make a great partout bike

Re: 84 PRO CLASS 24" BMX CRUISER

Wow, awesome bike. Still not diggin the stem? That's pure old school goodness there. Do a little research on it, and you may change your mind

Re: 84 PRO CLASS 24" BMX CRUISER

Cool find. I jsut picked up an early supergoose yesterday that had a Hutch western H stem on it. Hutch stems must have been the stem to have back then. I then saw that it is worth almost more then the supergoose so that made me feel better about the bike not being all orignal. :D Matt

Made a few changes...still some work to do though. The chrome is shot. Contemplating having this F/F set powder coated.

Okay...think I got this one dialed in like I want it now...rides smooth as buttah.

Seriously thinking about having Jacob at Ideal Coatings giving this F/F the treatment in light blue. Repop decals are available too. :D

I've gone back and forth with the idea.

The chrome is really trashed on this F/F. Lots of abuse over the years.

It's definitely a RRBMX.
