Just have caught up with this one, I'm hooked!
Like everyone else, the Monark springer gets the job in my eyes. But I definitely don't like the raised up front! If you have to space it, please do it on the top!
The chain guard and rack really go nicely with it also!
This may be just me, but my first impression makes me think flat-track bike! I'm thinking 24" fat knobby tires front and back, a low sprung saddle hugging the frame and rack, short MX bars and a couple of number plates. Heavy, fast and dirty!
Couldn't find exactly what I'm seeing, but here's one in the ball park...
Looking pretty sweet! I ended up with the super rare chainring/guard off your bike. Mine was swiped just before I bought it. I picked up a super nice OG paint `39 Monark built/badged 4Bar with one year only springer for my girl's Xmas gift.
This bicycle started out looking pretty rough when I first found it. I picked it out of a scrap iron pile. It cost me $5.00. With the help of ebay and my junk parts inventory, I managed to get it back in riding condition.
