26 x 2.125 tires on 26 x 1.75 wheels?

I need some wheels and just out of curiosity would 26x2.125 tires fit on 26x1.75 wheels? I already have the 2.125 tires and was curious if they would mount to a smaller width wheel. So far as i understand as long as they are decimal sizes and not fractional it will work.

I'm sure it would fit. I've never tried, but I have put a 26x1.75 on a 26x 2.125 rim.

They should fit with no problems. When I was a kid, a lot of us into BMX all ran 20 x 1.75 rims, but the front tire would be a 2.125 and the rear was a 1.75.

I've never had a problem, I've put 2.125 tires on 1.75 rims since the late 70's. Makes the tire look fatter.
