26” Peugeot Pipeline-1 Looptail

Hey All,
Just documenting my build.
80’s-ish frame.
When I picked it up it came with a seat/seatpost and a set of unusable 24” wheels. Scrapped the wheels.

Picked up bits and pieces for it from my stash and inter webs. As well as a few borrowed pieces from my worksman until the other parts arrived.

A quick 3 mile ride with the buddy. Smooth and comfortable.

I have a set of gold anodized SE high flanged wheels that I will be putting on it, just waiting on the set of K-Rads and MX1000 brake sets to finally show up. Also a set of new waffle grips.

I’m still somewhat debating on the wheelset. I wanted to run a freewheel and have this bike geared at 42-17.
It’s at 42-18 as it sits, but that rear SRAM hub is geared and meant for a heavy cruiser like the worksman, or is it?

I’m a amateur and just barely understanding bicycle gearing, so excuse me if I don’t make sense.

Trial and error.

Changed out the chrome steelies for some SE gold anodized wheels, kept the snakebelly’s.
MX1000 rear brake set, still missing the front set
Gold Bear Traps
Mushroom Grips
44t Sugino Crank

I have a thing for black, gold and chrome.

This thing rides smooth and is quick.

Long time no update.
Swapping out the Super Maxy crankset for a Peugeot crankset. Just gotta get a new 110 bcd 42t chainring.
It’s meant for a road bike, but this cruiser will do.
