1962 Schwinn Strandie

Well after building my sons ‘66 Stingray BMX bike, I got bit by the bug. And fully inspired by Davo1970’s builds, I decided to try one of my own. Hopefully it can turn out almost as nice as Davo’s cool rides!! I had dreams about his bikes! It’s off to the powder coater tomorrow where she’ll get a nice gold coat. Removed the tank tabs from under the top cross bar, the only obstacle in my book.
Going to put a grip shift with a Shimano 3 speed hub on a set of alloys....
I got hills!! Wish me luck!

Now that I’m enlightened on the subjects of names of builds or bikes, I renamed my build to “Strandie”
Frame is at Powder Coat shop, ordered wheels, forks, handle bars, neck stem, seat post, grips....
