Here is the bike converted to a 10 speed back in the 70s. This is what we started with including the black spray bomb. Real forward thinking on his part. A Klunker before the west coast guys and riding on the frozen beach and frozen waves on Lake Superior. Fat tire riders think they invented riding on the frozen moonscape but R. Z. is way ahead of them. Too bad R.Z. didn't take the next step and market this, he could have been a hippie zillionaire, Like Gary Fischer. We could all be riding R.Z. brand bikes instead of Fichers, Breezes or Ritchies.

The mock up has been disassembled. Black paint touch up over the welds complete and the Penetrol rust proofing has been applied. We plan to do the final assembly on Thursday.

Done!. My friends paper route bike has been brought back. He picked it up today. I will miss admiring it when I drink my AM coffee.

That is exactly what I proposed but my friend, who's bike it is, wanted them left black.
