SOLD - 1951 Schwinn Straight Bar Custom "Finn Special" = $400 - SOLD
Inquiring little mind wants to know......
"That really is special " ?
+ = + ?!?
Dave is getting the Firestone, but the Schwinn is going to Texas from a quick Facebook sale.
It's been a very good day for you Brian with sales and finds!
Pardon my nosiness. I'm very sleep deprived.
Hahhaa, my post was a compliment before someone edited it. It seems someone here likes editing seemingly harmless posts. I wish they would just delete them to save me the time and effort and prevent confusion, or maybe send me a message to explain why or what rules have been broke. I guess that is not their way. Poor forum manners on their part IMHO....Anywho, yeah, Expensive week in the bike department, won't be getting any more till AA
We had a complaint regarding the name of the bike, it probably was a non issue but we do have rules regarding substituting words to reference something else that would get caught by the forum profanity filter.
The name of the bike is pretty tame in comparison to some things we get, but we have to be even and fair across the board or it just leads to more complaints.
In the future I will try to remember to message when editing.
I have no problem with the forum rule edits. Many times we think "we are all adults here", but forget that there are kids here too. It was a few hours after I originally bought this bike that I noticed that the name could be cleverly thought of as something besides an abbreviation for the Flying Finn Special.
I predict that a set of Mooneyes discs will appear on an upcoming build-off bike from Savannah.
Was that ever in question?
The Mooneyes where the main reason I bought the bike, but it has been a blast owning my first custom that I didn't create myself.
Even without the discs this bike rocked Savannah yesterday. It still turned heads, got compliments, and was fun to ride.
Yep, that's a great looking bike that Josh built!
You know it would've been easier to just buy four pizza pans.
But it wouldn't have been as fun, and I wouldn't have been able to enjoy this bike.
The wheelin and dealin is just as much fun as building bikes.
Way Kool bike Brian. Congrats on the sell. Btw im back hahaha.
Kenny!!!! Great to see you back buddy!!
I'm glad to be back
No worries, I am on my best behavior whilst here and noticed this several times...So no trailer park jokes, no abbreviations....this kinda reminds me of when ya google something seemingly simple and are horrified by the results, especially if your searching images...hahahahha.... Thanks guys.
Late for dinner: FYI, I dont buy schwinns unless their pink for my GF!
I bet that turned some heads in old Savannah. Great pub bike
