Picked this up on craigslist today. It's a 1949 Schwinn DX frame with a mix of parts added to it.
I believe the wheels are from a 1980s Cruiser 5 since they have the mega spokes and the Atom Drum brake rear hub.
Whoever built this bike in Florida took the 5 speed freewheel off and added a skiptooth single speed freewheel to it.
It has a skiptooth sweetheart chainring.
I am not sure what the fenders came from.
It's geared pretty high. I am going to put some are in the tires and go for a ride in a bit.

It's a nice mix of parts and the wheelset really intrigued me.

Great riding bike. It's definitely geared for flatlands. It's a bit slow of the line, but nice cruising speed.

were you riding that bike yesterday on riverstreet.

Wife was down there all week long on a film set.

she finished up satruday night and decided to go shopping on riverstreet yesterday.

She said it was packed. I tried talking her into bring a bike back for me.

It was last weekend that I had it on River Street. My wife and I were down there Sunday though. The weather was beautiful (around 67 and sunny), so we walked down there for late lunch and pretended we were tourists.
