Got this bike from the original owners grandson. The bike has a lot of miles, the og bought it new in 39 and rode it almost everyday until they died.
There is a broken fender bracket on the rear right side, one of the rack legs has a slight bend in it, should come out easily. The original rims are in sweet condition and the paint is and overpaint and can be removed, I have removed a little of it. The front hub is a Mussleman high flange, it has been rebuilt, the rear is a New Departure Model D, that needs rebuilding and I will do that if I get time before it sells, if not, you will need to. The tires on it are display only, as the rear has a split sidewall. Where I have started paint removal the original paint is coming through and it looks really good. I have no idea why someone would have this bicycle all of their life and one day decide to paint over such a beautiful paint scheme.
