Picked this one up this evening on my way home from work. Nice elderly lady was selling her large home in an effort to downsize and was selling off most of her stuff. This was her late husband's bike which he bought new with paper route money back in the day. I paid a fair price for it and I'm still in shock that it had just been sitting there all of these years in their attic.

It's missing the batwing headlight, but it's got just about every other accessory known to man on it. It was in an estate sale so I asked if they could keep an eye out for the headlight if they could. The fork might be slightly bent as well.

Way to go man . That story actually gave me chill bumps . So awesome to think they are still out there . I'm glad this one ended up in the right hands . Instead of on eBay in a bunch of parts. It's got all the cool accessories for sure . Hope they find the light for ya.
Right it proud as you are only the second owner[emoji106]

Stopped by last night on my way home to pick up the springer fork bracket I left behind and also to look around for the missing batwing. No luck on the headlight, but they did find this lock when going through their stuff.

Also picked up the guy's G-MAN cap pistol that he had as a kid...

Just keeps getting better! Are the tires salvageable??

I have the same tail light on my daughters bike...and, are those matching Seiss lights on the back? If so, I have them as well, just got them yesterday and will be mounting them on the front bars of her bike.

OMG what a gem ! your on a roll my friend !

Not going to touch this bike...plan to leave it as is...won't even wash it.

I'll eventually sell it and let the next guy do what they want to with it. :giggle:

In terms of flaws, the bike has the following issues...

1. Fork is bent
2. Tires are hard as a rock
3. Delta taillight was mounted on rear fender crooked by the kid
4. One original pedal and one Western Flyer pedal
5. Glass in speedometer is missing and there is no cable
6. Chrome on all parts has seen better days
7. Dent on the drive side of the rear fender
8. Bottom of rear fender at the back is crumpled.
9. Tank has small dings
10. Missing original fork crown nut

I myself would like to see the bike without all the added "bling". Kinda ruins the lines of a colorflow.
Suppose that is up to the future new owner too.
