Picked this up along with a girls Schwinn and can't ID it. The forks look Schwinn-ish and the skip tooth sprocket too but no head badge. Bottom bracket shows 1299450 and SD or 5D or 3D. Thanks for any help.

the sweetheart sprocket is Schwinn for sure and the frame has a little resemblance of a dx but it also resembles a colsen clipper.
member bycicle808 is really good at iding Schwinn and if it is a Schwinn he would know for sure. I am not an expert and most likely am wrong but it does resemble both I mentioned a little bit.
hope that helps
Sean

I dont know if Sweetheart is Schwinn, Specific. I see them On Columbia and Elgin even more frequently for the era. Id say if it is schwinn, its old enough schwinn not to have books on the numbers., thus the difficulty of finding them, lest its a Columbia but I think they begin with D.

Thanks for I the feedback guys! I'm not that concerned about who made it other than just for the sake of knowing. Plus, it may help me ID bikes better in the future.

Might be a pre '41 Shelby long tank frame. Post better pics of the headset bearing cups, front profile of the fork and the rear chain stays. If it is a Shelby, they are kind of hard to find. Not saying its worth a fortune, but a cool not-so-common frame.

Thanks for the info. I'll get better photos tomorrow.
