serial number help

Hey all, I just saw a bike on my local craigslist. The guy says it's a schwinn with serial number 5h318060, does this sound right to anyone?

If I could link the ad from my phone I would,I'm sure it would help.

Not in the old Schwinn (made in USA) number list. Maybe it was read wrong or it's a newer bike. A pic will solve it quick.

That sure looks to be a Huffy serial..

Edit: Just got the image open--definitely a Huffy. 1965.

Huffy makes sense on the style of frame. I put the number in at schwinn without the 5 at the beginning and that came back as 63 schwinn.

Either way I made the guy an offer and didn't hear back. Oh well

Happens a lot, especially on CL. Schwinns are supposed to be worth more than other bikes. When you know it's not, they don't want to deal. They'll wait until they sell it for more as a Schwinn.

Yea it's unfortunate, I know a guy who thinks every cruiser style bike he has is a schwinn.
