Cheers Luke :)

The bars are taking shape.
Not secured yet so the positioning is a bit off but you get the gist.
Handle grips are valve springs from a car engine.
The big nut is welded on to a washer which is welded on to the expander bolt.

All going according to plan :)

those springs remind me of the o-ring grips !
how do they feel ?

I'll remind everyone again that this is mostly a showpiece which will be rideable.....just......
As long as it is ridable, you are all good!
Check out my "BigJim" build from last year... It was ridable, but you wouldn't use it as a commuter!

Luke.

Cool!

The front wheel mounts on the fork make me think, "magic carpet ride"!

Might ride better than you think. Only one way to find out!

See ya,
Rod

There was a lot of umming and arring over which way to put them.

Forward as claws or backwards (as they are now) as horns......

:)

dang this thing is great!!! its going to be real cool when done

A mate has som thick aluminium plate for me which I'll be using to make the pedals.
They will be skull shaped, of course.

That's actually how I found this site, as I was searching for pics of skull shaped pedals.

Wanna try and make them so they hang vertically the "right way up" when the bike is parked, so have to get the weight distribution right.
Thinking of drilling through the plate, slide some tube in there and use the original pedal pin for it to rotate on.

Will see how that goes once I get the plate.

:)

Not much to report.
Did a bit of work on the rear axle, got everything set up and sorted, put the tyre back on the rim, pumped it up and now it's not holding pressure.

:headbang:

Should have checked it BEFORE I put the wheel on the bike, but it was fine before, so.....

So off it will come tomorrow to see if I can find the leak.
Hoping it's the valve.
Please let it be the valve.
I spat on it but it didn't bubble, so maybe it's elsewhere...

Tubless too....sigh.

Might just get a can of that puncture repair foam spray stuff.... :bigboss:
