This was a local pickup only ebay buy. I really dig the lines of the frame and I've always loved the coffin chainrings. Although a repaint, it was done well and looks decent.

Here it is when I got it.

First transformation, stripped off the unnecessary items and added new tires, a tank and a axle mounted kick stand.

I loved the ride of the Quick Bricks, but the brown didn't really provide the contrast that brick red does. Got the tank off for some faux patina sprinkles and added a vintage flashlight on the bars.

What year is this bike, was the coffin chainring common on other make bicycles or only pope?

It's a 1940 bike. The chainring is common on other Westfield built bikes. (Afik.)

Got the bike dialed in. Completely sound, bearings throughut, races, different wheelset, chain cleaned and waxed (White Lightning ) light project done, Wald guard, wide pull Torrington bars, Torrington repop pedals, a tank from another project that didn't pan out. Rides dreamy.
