I have what I have heard refered to as a "drop forged" springer fork that I hope to bring back to life.
I can't find much info about these "iron" forks.
Does anyone have a link that explains about these forks?
Are they just a better quality steel? Can they be welded and/or heated to straighten, etc?

Thanks for any thoughts you care to share.

It really just means the legs are solid rather than tubular. It would make it easier to heat and straighten them.
That's really the info that I was seeking.
I have an old CWC springer fork that has a tweek in it.
I've straightened several tubular forks and didn't know if I could work these.
Good to hear.
