I am having a tough time with this one guys. It has Shelby sprocket and carrier I think but the rest of it has me confused. The guy called it an Elgin but it doesn’t like like any Elgin Bikes I have ever seen. Any ideas? Straight drop bar and rear tabs so pre war I am pretty sure of that.

Hard to tell buy the pic. Get it out the truck put it against the garage door and get a full pic. We'll sort it out at this point I'm leaning towards CWC , yet to be determined.
Cool find what ever it is.

That collar near the top of the seat tube is an identifier, but for the life of me I can't remember what manufacturer. Maybe Huffman?

EDIT: Nope, I was wrong...it's supposed to be Murray. Looks Huffman to me.

Better than average detail shots, but as the man said, full pic is still useful. Looks a bit Huffish to me as well, but I don't know for certain. Post wood rim era, Elgin just means sold by Sears between the 1920s and WW2. Murray and Westfield are the usual suspects, although other companies may have supplied them as well.

I have a Shelby Flyer frame like that. Unusual twin straight bar: Late 30's. Sprocket is probably original as is the stem, but the rest of it is anyone's guess. Fork is wrong.

Really that would be awesome!!! Here is the full pics to see if that will help.

Maybe. Need shots of the seat-post junction from the TOP without all the crap blocking the view of it. Badge screw location and distance between holes would help as well.
I am now thinking NOT Shelby because of the seat post clamp area.
Below is my Shelby, and it is very different.

headset cups look shelby, as does the chain stays. Seat post clamp area is similar, but looks different at the top, may have had some repairs to this area. I'm kind of leaning toward Shelby
