What have you been riding lately?

Freeliner, my ‘36 Schwinn/BFG got a skip tooth drivetrain, 3 piece cranks and a SA kickback hub today. It is a little noiser with its converted rear sprocket but it still rides nice with plenty of speed. ‘36 BFG Streamliner.

    TRADITIONAL ⚡️⚡️⚡️THUNDERBOLT⚡️⚡️⚡️”AWESOME” HELP⚡️⚡️⚡️PART FOUND⚡️⚡️⚡️Beehive Springer

I'm not a fan of soft springers. An alternative to fitting the solid rods is to shim the springs and do the nut up further which passes through the springs. I did this on a Schwinn springer and it stiffened the fork considerably.

    TRADITIONAL 🅵🅾🅾🅻🅸🅶🅰🅽 - 1930s Elgin Oriole

Looking good KF. Great frame. Those Murray built frames are really solid, way heavier than say a typical Schwinn frame. I think it would takes some heat to dimple the chain stays

Marketplace buy cruiser 1 for around $100. 2 days later and a heap of parts from my arsenal. Awesome rider and fast with a 2 speed Sturmey Archer kickback hub.

What have you been riding lately?

I picked up this Electra cruiser 1 last night on marketplace for the cost of a couple of slabs of beer. A lady won it in a raffle and her husband wasn’t interested. I got it home, pumped up the tires and went for a spin around the block. I was surprised how easy it was to ride and even more...

    Black bikes

This ‘51 Panther is the first American balloon tire bike (frame) I bought over 15 years ago. It has been through so many iterations since then and this last one will be the last. I love it because it got me passionate about bikes again after messing around with cars for years and riding again...

What have you been riding lately?

Such a beautiful day for a blast around town on the ‘41 Colson loop tail. It is now running the cranks and wheels with a Nexus 7 speed that were were previously fitted to my Panther. Have a great weekend and safe riding. Yeah, I have thing for buildings with red bricks.

This 1979 935 raced in the sport sedan series for many years in Australia. Twin turbo 2.8, 630hp. The sound it makes is not one you will easily forget.

    Building my first Klunker!

Also keep in mind that you may need to spread the rear dropouts. You can find simple instructions on the Sheldon Brown website.

    Building my first Klunker!

I built this bike for a RRB build off last year. It is also a mix of parts from several cheap mountain bikes. It has a 3 x 1 drivetrain using a front derailleur and mtb cranks with 3 chain rings. It worked well but it was a pain and slow to select gears and I am now rebuilding it with a 2 speed...

    Building my first Klunker!

This ‘62 Typhoon is a mix of 80’s and 90’s mtb parts as well as some bmx goodies. The brake levers, 7 speed cluster, derailleur and shifter were pulled from barely used inexpensive mountain bikes. The wheels are a custom set but I originally had the mtb wheels fitted and it didn’t ride much...
