    Show me your cat.

Same with Raven. She'll even swat my hand out of the way so she can see first 🤣

Rear tire should arrive next week. In the meantime, I'm working on bars, light(s), and 'The Secret Project'.

    Info Help, '49 Higgins step-thru?

Best fork ever! (At least it's one of my favorites) Be careful with the bolts on the rocker plates. They are shouldered bolts, specific to this style of springer fork.

Was going to shave off the tabs on both fork legs, but the non-drive side tab is pretty much perfect for this particular headlight bracket. I wouldn't mount a headlight, and I considered a mirror, but still haven't figured out what to use it for. So for now, the tab stays.

Ok, I pulled the trigger on a redwall. I'm going to paint the lettering on the front tire, so a redwall gives me some canvas to do lettering on the rear. It will tie together the guard and seat a little better too, as they're kinda floating blocks of red at the moment.

Man, those are gorgeous! I have a set of powder pink, with a black sidewall, waiting for the right project.

Had to find a rim to fit the OG Spitfire tire. Of course, the axle was toast, so I swapped that out, and here we are... Now that I have more of the bike together. I think I'll pass on the orange tire idea. Shifting to the possibility of one of these?

I remembered I had this remnant of a reflector bracket that snapped off when I was trying to fabricate a mounting bracket for a previous build. I was making an entirely different type of bracket, so this piece was useless at the time. However, it should be perfect for this situation! Filed...

With a 52t sprocket instead of the original 48t, the chainguard sits too low when mounted to the original 'L' tab on the BB. I need a bracket that will float the guard just above the original mounting. If you zoom in, you'll see I'm resting the chainguard brace on top of the 'L' tab, so it sits...

Finally got the spacers up inside, and I could not be happier! This is the exact geometry I was hoping for in the beginning. The line flows effortlessly from the cantilever to the fork ends.

Cleaned off decals, measurement marking, filings, and grit. Time for assembly. Had to do some finessing to get the spacers to go in the larger tubing. They are an exact fit, closing the gap between both sets of tubing. However, it's so tight of a fit, that I had a hard time getting the...

Alright. I went ahead and risked bending my fork legs a smidge more to get the stance I wanted. Thankfully, they're still even. The bend is a touch kinked, but looks worse (in the pic) than it is. However, I am going to tap in some rebar to reinforce the bend, as a precaution. Soaked them...
